Adina BAR-ON

Adina`s work holds a discourse about conflicts of identity and conflicting identifications. Her work, as a Performance Artist, creates moments of emotion, states of behavior that her audience might share in empathy or criticism. Adina has been an active performer since 1973, when she was a 3rd year student at the Bezalel Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Jerusalem. Over the years, she has presented her work in Israel`s major Art Museums and galleries. Making it her business to emphasize her political and social stand she has insistently performed in social and political events. In recent years she has been traveling abroad, 5 months of the year, to present her own Performance Art and to conduct work shops on Visual Communication. - Among the countries are: Canada (Toronto), USA (NYC, Boston, Philly), Hong Kong, Japan (Tokyo, Nagoya, Nagano), Germany (Kiln), N.Ireland (Belfast), Thailand (Bangkok, Chiangmai), Poland (Warsaw, Lublin, Krakow, Bialystok ...), Russia (St. Petersburg), France (Paris, Quimper) and more.

In 2001, Adina was awarded a major prize for her contribution to Israeli Art by the American Israel Cultural Foundation, and a biographical book "Adina Bar-On, Performance Artist", had been published.

Questa pièce viene creata sulle basi dell'esperienza di condividere una vita con un uomo che ha subito uno dei tanti "effetti collaterali" della Guerra: quest'uomo ha perso la sua capacità di esprimersi verbalmente ed è costretto suo malgrado a dire NO per qualsiasi concetto.

24.000 persone muoiono di fame ogni giorno nel mondo, cioè una ogni quattro secondi.

Le video-azioni di Hernani COR mostrano in situ ciò che l'occhio umano non può afferrare senza l'"occhio complice" della macchina fotografica.

Lontano dalle falsificazioni, lontano dalle immagini scelte ed truccate, i video in situ di quest'artista portoghese che vive in Francia offrono una visione - in tempo reale - delle possibili alternative alle narrazioni del quotidiano.

Egli opera attraverso manipolazioni di oggetti e crea in tempo reale delle piccole storie brevi ... Gli oggetti si mescolano e partoriscono risa e stridori di denti. Hernani COR apre le porte di un mondo onirico, poetico, tenero e crudele.

Jill McDERMID

Jill Mc Dermid è specializzata in Intermedia e Video Art all'Università dell'Iowa (USA).

Vive e lavora a Brooklyn (New York City) dove presenta progetti mensili presso spazi pubblici e gallerie d'arte. Le sue azioni dal vivo (performances) vanno dagli interventi brevi e fulminanti a quelli più lunghi e complessi che sintetizzano momenti politici con elementi personali.

Ad esempio, per riferirsi alla città di New York la McDermid presenta spesso una mela con una cipolla nel mezzo.

Negli ultimi anni ha presentato lavori negli Stati Uniti, in Germania, in Cina e nel Sud-est Asiatico. Nel 2001/2002 ha organizzato il festival 21st Suffragettes: Arti & Performances delle Donne, in diversi locali e spazi aperti di Brooklyn.

I suoi progetti più ampi consistono in spazi collegati tra loro (con una installazione sonora e visiva in ogni spazio) con lo snodarsi di una unica narrazione che si sviluppa per "stazioni" successive con la presenza e l'azione dal vivo dell'artista.

È ora la fondatrice e direttrice artistica del nuovo centro culturale GRACE Exhibition Space Eleanor Chilton Foundation di New York.

"ATLANTIS - Myth's Future - Dream of Existence"

Kureha Shinjo has studied art, stage performance, and dance. She started performing solo dance in 1981. Since then, she has produced many performances, such as dances with no music that reveal the pure essence of the dance, and the improvisational piece, "Dream of Existence", not only in Japan but also in Sardegna Italy, France, Canada, England, Poland, China . She also has been performing many collaborations with various kind of arts. There are many art works as environmental issues with children.

Does the performance become an opportunity for exchanging significant ideas for the future between artists and audience? The desert of the emotion which the inside is to produced the crisis of the planet scale. I think ancient people didn't have any border of their body and surrounding. It is necessary to turn an eye to the emotion ,the instinct ,the intuition and the animal human being more. That is connected with the courage to find out the way which couldn't seen before. Improvisation is also choice of a moment, it calls audience's attention to take courage and freedom of choice.

"Sapiens" - contemporary dance

S.J. Stoker is a native of St. John,s, Newfoundland and Labrador, an island at the most easterly point of Canada and the continent of North America. She has performed for choreographers and presented her own work throughout Canada, Europe and in Brazil and New York. She believes that art is an active force in life and should therefore be used as a vehicle for action in communities. Her newest solo, Sapiens lay here, is a poignant exploration of that which has been and is human inhabitancy on earth; a physical, mental and spiritual journey, a meditation on our history and future.
